Despite mixed reviews, the unique style of Despicable Me, has once again shown that the American people like 'different'. Despicable Me 2 topped the box office again this week. It seems that Gru, is becoming a household name.
In this release, instead of being evil, he fights evil - so his character is more heartfelt than the first movie. I will predict that when Halloween time arrives, some of the top selling costumes for 2013 will be the Despicable Me characters.

Since it's release on July 3rd, and as of July 14th, only 11 days in, Despicable Me 2 has taken in $228,376,775 at the box office - that's over a quarter of a Billion dollars!
It just shows how adults like cartoons too! Especially how they seem to always have some adult humor thrown in, that goes right over the heads of their children. It sure ain't like it was in the old Mickey Mouse days.
So if you get the chance, go add to the quarter billion and go see Despicable Me 2. And if you decide to do the fashionable thing during Halloween 2013, check out all that Halloween Costumes 4 U has to offer.
These guys were all over the place this past Halloween. More adults than kids though. I think I'm Despicable Me'd out. I'm almost glad that Despicable Me is finally fading.
